Manager/Senior Manager (Agri-input business)


Kamatan is a young agribusiness venture, promoted by a group of experienced professionals with venture capital support, building an inclusive agri supply chain. The core working model of the company leverages the aggregation power of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) at the farm gate, bypassing traditional marketing channels to service large agri enterprises. The company is working to unlock the immense business opportunity that lies in a deeply integrated partnership with FPOs, giving farmers greater leverage in access to markets, technology and capital. It serves a range of agri enterprises at the market end through sourcing of staples such as cereals, pulses and oilseeds, while helping financial institutions, input and technology companies in tapping markets at the backend. The company has raised two rounds of funds so far.

We are looking to create a  team in various States to support the activities of the company as per job description below:

Location: Indore/Aurangabad/Hyderabad


  1. Market assessment, market intelligence and market research both on supply and demand side

  2. Coordination with FPO partners and farmers for compilation of monthly agri-input demand for making quarterly and annual plans

  3. Development of distribution network partners for supply of agri-inputs to FPOs through distributors network and directly from companies/suppliers

  4. Conduct regular pricing surveys including market prices, discounts and net realizable value prices to enable development of business schemes

  5. Prepare business schemes for distributors and FPOs for delivery of products at right pricing with necessary approvals from management

  6. To coordinate with local officials, Government and channel partners to ensure licensing and regulation requirements are met.

  7. To be the owner for the business plan targets and enable successful supply and liquidation of the products in line with process guidelines set by the management.

  8. To ensure timely billing and delivery of supplies, timely collections well within credit period, plan and collect advance booking where applicable and enable closure of sales process as per the stipulated process.

  9. To ensure all the product complaints and feedback are timely addressed.

  10. To ensure product performance is monitored regularly and any issues are resolved in coordination with the suppliers

  11. To ensure product returns are managed within the stipulated limits as per guidelines.

  12. To conduct extension and marketing coordination meetings with FPOs for dissemination of product/technology information.

  13. Any other task assigned to by the management.
